Objectives

The main goal of our project is to enhance young people's knowledge and skills in financial literacy, entrepreneurship, democratic participation, and social responsibility, making them more effective individuals both in personal and social life. This project aims to raise awareness among young people on economics, leadership, and active citizenship while fostering their social awareness and encouraging their active participation in societal processes. Through experiential learning opportunities and non-formal learning methods offered by the project, we aim to help young people develop practical solutions to real-world challenges they may face in their daily lives. The objectives of the project include improving young people's financial literacy skills and equipping them with the knowledge needed for personal finance management, budgeting, debt management, and investment strategies. In this regard, a key part of our project is the "Ekonomi Köyü" (Economy Village) simulation, which will allow young people to develop their financial decision-making skills by experiencing real-life scenarios. Participants will learn how to manage financial resources through bank and stock market simulations in the village, guided by youth workers throughout this process. The project also aims to develop young people's entrepreneurship skills. Throughout the project, young people will gain knowledge in creative thinking, business development, and leadership, while also experiencing entrepreneurship through income-generating activities. This process will help participants prepare for the challenges they will face in the business world by developing innovative projects. This entrepreneurship-focused approach will contribute to the participants' career development and better prepare them for future job opportunities. Our project seeks to raise young people's awareness of democratic participation and active citizenship, encouraging them to play more active roles in societal processes. One of the main objectives of the project is to help young people learn about democratic processes, understand their rights and responsibilities, and engage in public decision-making mechanisms. Through workshops, group discussions, and simulations organized during the project, young people will increase their awareness of democratic participation. Additionally, fostering a sense of social responsibility is a key goal of the project. Participants will be encouraged to develop social awareness, acquire ethical leadership skills, and work on projects that benefit society. During this process, activities will be organized to support participants in contributing to their communities, thereby strengthening their sense of social responsibility. This will help participants better understand their responsibilities toward society and motivate them to take a more active role in social awareness projects. Increasing intercultural interaction is also one of the project’s objectives. Participants from different countries will be encouraged to interact with each other, fostering cultural awareness, tolerance, and understanding. This process will allow young people to better understand cultural diversity through communication with different cultures and strengthen their commitment to European values. Finally, our project aims to implement innovative approaches in youth work. Non-formal learning methods and experiential education models will support young people’s effective learning, and these methods will ensure the sustainability of the knowledge and skills gained in the project. As a result of the project, new models will be developed to improve the quality of youth work, and these models will be disseminated in the field of youth work. This project aims to contribute to the personal development of young people while making them active agents of social change.
