Objectives

The main objective of the project is to help personnel working in children's organizations develop innovative approaches in these areas by increasing their professional capacities and knowledge and skills on sustainable agriculture. Thus, the information acquired will be implemented by project participants in children's organizations. The project aims to increase the awareness of personnel of organizations working with children and youth on nature-based education and agricultural activities through theoretical knowledge transfer, workshops and field applications in its content, and to encourage them to use these methods effectively while working with children and youth. In this way, it is aimed to disseminate practices that will contribute to the mental, cognitive and emotional development of young people. At the same time, individual and collective development will be supported by strengthening the bonds established by young people and children with nature. In this context, the project will enable participants to observe greenhouse and sustainable agriculture practices in the Netherlands on site and to adapt the knowledge and experiences they have gained to their own work areas. In addition, it is aimed to maintain the psychosocial well-being of young people through agricultural and nature-based activities in order to disseminate the green rehabilitation concept. In addition, by interacting with academic and sectoral institutions in the Netherlands (e.g. Wageningen University and the World Horti Center), contacts on innovative agriculture and ecological sustainability will be established and international cooperation and knowledge sharing will be encouraged. Finally, it is expected that the knowledge and good practices acquired will be shared among the project partners, contributing to the dissemination of environmentally friendly and sustainable youth projects.
