Our main objectives are to enhance staff competences, implement innovative and inclusive teaching methods, and improve learning outcomes for detainees. We aim to integrate European best practices into our daily work, adapt educational strategies to the new governance structure, and build a sustainable international network that supports ongoing professional growth and continuous improvement in prison education.
We applied for this project to strengthen our staff’s competences and improve educational opportunities for adult learners in detention, especially during the transition to the Flemish government. Erasmus+ mobilities will allow us to learn from European best practices in prison education, adapt innovative methods to our context, and ensure high-quality, inclusive learning that supports detainees’ reintegration into society.
