Objectives of the VOICES Project: 1. Strengthening the competences of young people with fewer opportunities -Help them overcome language, social, and cultural barriers. -Develop self-confidence, collaboration skills, and communication abilities in an international environment. 2. Promoting civic participation and democratic thinking -Introduce participants to the functioning of democratic institutions, parliaments, and free media in a European context. -Show them that their voice matters and that they can actively influence their community. 3. Connecting theory with practice in youth work -Provide young people with experiences that link formal education with practical international exposure. -Use non-formal education methods – reflection, teamwork, peer learning, and creative processing of outputs. 4. Supporting inclusion and equal opportunities -Demonstrate that young people with various disadvantages can succeed in an international environment if they have proper support and mentoring. -Contribute to breaking down stereotypes and strengthening a sense of belonging. 5. Multiplying the impact of the project -Enable participants to become “young ambassadors” of democracy and parliamentary engagement in their communities. -Inspire other young people to take part in similar projects by sharing their experiences. Overall goal: To strengthen the competences, motivation, and civic engagement of young people who would otherwise have limited opportunities to experience European democracy, culture, and the functioning of parliamentary processes.
