With our upgraded democracy education offers, we want to empower more individuals in Germany to actively participate in society. Learners with fewer opportunities and active citizens will gain motivating exposure to participatory tools, consensus-building and resilience strategies. They can use these independently. Staff will develop new competences in inclusive project management and trainings delivery, fundraising, and low-threshold communication. All of these will benefit future learners.
Democracy Explorers combines 1 course, 1 training, 1 job shadowing and 2 adult mobilities. We applied to strengthen our adult education work in Germany by learning inclusive didactics, reaching new learner groups, and gaining European knowledge on democratic skills. Mobilities will expose our staff and learners to innovative methods and best practices abroad, which are not yet available in Germany. The insights ensure our offers empower diverse citizens to participate in democratic life.
