With the DEMO DisverEU project, we aim to empower individuals aged between 18 and 21, including immigrants and those with fewer opportunities, who lack the opportunity to visit various European cities. We plan to make them collect memories from different European cities by using their own methods and creativity, make them share their perspectives and unique interpretations by providing them an expressive area without experiencing social exclusion. In this way, the main goal is to raise awareness, break down stereotypes, and foster understanding across a broader community, starting with disadvantaged university students.Overall goals are to support 15 young people aged 18-21 throughout the project period, helping them understand European ideals and develop their artistic skills and observational skills. We aim to raise awareness within the local community about the effects of social exclusion and, in particular, to provide access to artistic activities for young participants with fewer opportunities, enabling them to explore and document diverse European cultures and cities. We also aim to encourage participation in and raise awareness of Erasmus+ youth opportunities through local community engagement. We plan to create a travel journal booklet featuring content generated by participants and make it available easily. This creative booklet will illustrate how DiscoverEU and the Erasmus+ program promote social inclusion and cross-cultural engagement through worldwide and local collaboration. Success will be measured by social media engagement, such as likes, comments, and Instagram stories, as well as the production and sharing of contents featuring participants' journeys and interviews. Feedback on project activities, leadership, program efficacy, organization, and overall experience will be gathered using digital evaluation questionnaires. Our overarching objectives are to empower marginalized youth, promote intercultural understanding, dispel misconceptions, and help participants and the general public develop a sense of solidarity and European identity.
