The Erasmus+ Discover EU Inclusion Programme wants to give disadvantaged young people the opportunity to embark on an international journey, fostering personal development, intercultural competence and skills development. Through this initiative, we want to empower participants and ensure inclusivity and equity in access to international mobility opportunities. This project gives participants a sense of confidence and self-efficacy. By navigating new environments and facing challenges, young people will learn to make independent decisions and adapt to different situations. This experience fosters personal growth, resilience and empowerment, essential qualities to thrive in an increasingly complex world. With this we want to foster respect for cultural diversity by exposing participants to different cultures, traditions and perspectives. This experience encourages open-mindedness, empathy and fosters a deeper sense of responsibility towards the global community. The development of intercultural competence is essential in a multicultural society and helps to build a more inclusive and understanding world for every youth who joints the project. Skills development is a fundamental aspect of youth work and this project. By engaging in different activities and facing challenges during their travels, participants gain practical skills that are essential for their personal development and future employability. These skills include effective communication, collaborative teamwork, creative problem solving, adaptability to new environments and leadership. We want to ensure as well that the young people from all backgrounds, especially those facing social or economic barriers, are homeless, live in social care or have school problems can participate in the Discover EU Inclusive programme. This programme promotes social inclusion, reduces inequalities and ensures that all participants have the chance to benefit from enriching cultural experiences and personal development opportunities. Self-reflection is a cornerstone of personal development. By reflecting on their travel experiences, participants can gain insight into their strengths, interests and areas for improvement. This process encourages them to set meaningful goals and develop a clear vision for their future, fostering a sense of purpose and direction that is crucial to their ongoing personal and professional development. The Discover EU Inclusion Programme is designed to be more than just a travel experience; it is a comprehensive development journey. Through empowerment, intercultural learning, skills acquisition, inclusivity and self-reflection, we want to equip young people with the tools they need to thrive in a global society. By supporting disadvantaged and in need young people on this journey, we contribute to building a more inclusive and understanding Europe. In this political situation we want to give as much young people the possibility to widen their perspective as possible.
