Objectives

With Comunitaria-MENTE, we want to offer young people with fewer opportunities the chance to live a transformative international experience, connecting them with European communities and ecovillages that are already experimenting with more sustainable, inclusive, and community-oriented ways of life. From the perspective of youth work, the objectives are: Foster inspiration and empowerment among young people with fewer opportunities by showing them sustainable and community-based alternatives that can serve as references. Deveop personal and social competences (autonomy, confidence, teamwork, intercultural communication, critical thinking) through non-formal education methodologies in real contexts. Promote active participation and inclusion, ensuring that young people are protagonists in planning the journey, in the open activities during the route, and in the dissemination of results. Strengthen environmental awareness, through participation in practical workshops (permaculture, bioconstruction, arts, sustainable agriculture, audiovisual production) and by living in communities that already apply ecological solutions. Generate a multiplier effect in their local communities, through talks, presentations, and the projection of audiovisual material in their youth centers, CRAE, schools, and neighborhoods, turning them into positive role models for other young people. Connect local practice with a European network, reinforcing cooperation with ecovillages and communities and ensuring that the learning outcomes go beyond the mobility itself. Ultimately, Comunitaria-MENTE is not just a trip but a life-changing experience. We want each young person to discover that there are other ways of inhabiting the world—more sustainable, supportive, and humane—and to recognize themselves as protagonists of that change. The mobility thus becomes a tool for empowerment: opening horizons, awakening vocations, and restoring hope to those who often grew up believing they had no options. Our goal is that they return not only with new learning but also with the conviction that they can be drivers of transformation in their communities and inspiring role models for other young people who, like them, are seeking a fairer and more sustainable future.
