The project aims to provide young people, particularly those with fewer opportunities (JAMO or NEETS), with an educational and cultural mobility experience that allows them to develop transversal skills, broaden their European horizon, and strengthen their autonomy and personal engagement. 1. Promoting inclusion and access to mobility for all Objective: Enable young people from disadvantaged social, economic, or geographical backgrounds to access a high-quality European experience. Youth work practice: Identification and support of participants through local structures, with individualized follow-up to address specific needs (emotional support, adaptation to disabilities, social anxiety, etc.). Expected outcome: Reduced barriers to mobility, increased self-confidence, and greater openness to international experiences. 2. Developing personal, social, and intercultural skills Objective: Strengthen participants’ autonomy, responsibility, creativity, and interpersonal skills. Youth work practice: Active involvement in trip preparation (selection of sites, organization of activities, budget management). Taking on concrete responsibilities during the trip (facilitation, logistical management, cultural presentations). Daily debriefings and personal journals to encourage reflection and self-assessment. Expected outcome: Acquisition of transversal skills that can be valorized in educational and professional pathways. 3. Raising awareness of European culture and history Objective: Discover the history, art, and cultural heritage of Spain and Italy (Florence, Rome, Barcelona, and other regions) and understand how historical influences have shaped contemporary European culture. Youth work practice: Active experiential learning (visits, workshops, role-playing, observation, and interactions with locals). Expected outcome: Deepened cultural and historical knowledge, openness to cultural diversity, and strengthened intellectual curiosity. 4. Promoting responsible mobility and European citizenship Objective: Encourage environmentally conscious behavior and awareness of social issues. Youth work practice: Travel exclusively on foot, by bike, or via public transport to reduce the carbon footprint. Awareness-raising on responsible eating, waste reduction, and consumption of local products. Promotion of values such as solidarity, inclusion, and civic engagement. Expected outcome: Adoption of sustainable practices and empowerment of young people as active European citizens. 5. Valuing young people’s experiences and fostering dissemination Objective: Transform the travel experience into tangible and shareable learning outcomes to inspire other young people. Youth work practice: Creation and management of an Instagram page by participants to document and share their experience. Organization of dissemination events with peers, families, youth organizations, and institutions. Production of multimedia content (videos, photo exhibitions, testimonials) highlighting acquired skills. Expected outcome: Amplified project impact, knowledge sharing, and inspiration for other young people to engage in European mobility. 6. Post-mobility follow-up and support towards new opportunities Objective: Extend the experience to support participants’ personal and professional development. Youth work practice: Post-trip workshops, individualized follow-up, and guidance on how to leverage the experience in educational, professional, or associative pathways. Expected outcome: Consolidation of skills, strengthened confidence, openness to new European experiences, and sustained engagement in collective or civic projects. Summary The project combines cultural mobility, experiential learning, civic engagement, and environmental responsibility, placing young people at the heart of the initiative. From a youth work perspective, it serves as a practical tool to promote inclusion, autonomy, and the development of transversal skills, while providing a safe and structured framework to maximize the educational and personal impact on each participant.
