Objectives

Our primary aim with the implementation of this project is to provide young people with fewer opportunities with a unique learning and development experience that they would not be able to access on their own. Within the framework of the DiscoverEU Inclusion Action, the young participants will gain a short but intensive travel experience during which they will explore Europe’s cultural diversity, deepen their understanding of European values, and strengthen their own role within the European Union community. From the perspective of youth work, this project achieves several key objectives: - The young participants will develop a more conscious understanding of what European citizenship means, the role of active participation in democracy, and the value of cultural diversity. - Throughout the entire process – from planning to follow-up – they will be active participants, taking responsibility for preparing the itinerary, the financial plan, and communication materials, as well as defining and evaluating their own learning goals. - The program dismantles the economic, informational, and motivational barriers that have so far prevented these young people from accessing international learning opportunities. - The young participants will engage with local communities and people from different cultures, thereby improving their empathy, communication skills, and ability to cooperate. - Through individual and group support, participants will receive continuous feedback and assistance, with a particular focus on raising awareness of their learning objectives and using the Youthpass tool effectively. Specific project objectives: 1. To strengthen the European identity and democratic engagement of the young participants. 2. To break down the barriers preventing access to DiscoverEU and provide targeted support for young people with fewer opportunities. 3. To develop their independence, financial literacy, intercultural communication, sustainable attitudes, and teamwork skills. 4. To build the capacity of the Budavári Association to implement future youth programs. The young participants are not merely beneficiaries but active co-creators who take responsibility at every stage of the journey. Through jointly defined learning goals, daily reflective practices, and documentation within the Youthpass framework, the project provides not only an experience but also a consciously structured learning process.
