With this project we aim to offer a group of young people with fewer opportunities the chance to experience sustainable international mobility, turning a train journey across Northern Europe into an educational path and a process of personal growth. The main objectives, from the perspective of youth work practice, are: Promote inclusion and equal opportunities: enabling young people who would hardly access international experiences to participate on an equal footing, supported by youth workers and qualified educators. Develop key competences: through non-formal methodologies (photo voice, circle time, peer feedback, digital storytelling) participants will acquire collaboration, autonomy, problem solving, active citizenship and intercultural awareness. Link sport and social well-being: social sport will be the guiding theme of the activities, experienced as a tool for inclusion, community building, health promotion and participation. Educate for sustainability: travelling by train and making daily ecological choices will become an integral part of a path towards active ecological citizenship. Strengthen the role of young people in their communities: upon return, participants will be involved in dissemination and follow-up activities (public events, photo exhibition, testimonies in youth centres and schools), becoming Erasmus+ ambassadors and inspiring their peers to take part in similar opportunities. In this way, the project will combine non-formal education, sustainable mobility and social inclusion, addressing the needs of the territories while contributing to the priorities of the Erasmus+ Programme.
