Objectives

The project's implementation aims to empower young people to reach their full potential, which is also the main mission of the Public Institution Youth Leisure Centre (JLC). Problem and Project Goal The project is designed to address the problems of young people with fewer opportunities (MGT). Most JLC clients experience geographical, economic, or social exclusion, which reduces their self-confidence and initiative, while social isolation leads to poorer social maturity and life skills. The long-term goal of the project is to organize 2 trips across Europe for 10 MGT young people from Ukmergė district during the project period, ensuring their needs are met and social skills are developed, thereby increasing their inclusion, integration, citizenship, and sustainability. Objectives from a Youth Work Perspective Based on youth work practice, the project's objectives are as follows: • To identify the needs of young people. The project aims to become a support for young people, helping them to recognize and articulate their needs based on their expressed thoughts and expectations. • To meet identified needs. The project will meet the young people's needs for safety, a desire to travel and explore, to "be like everyone else," to gain experience, and to be mobile and independent. • To achieve long-term results. Finally, the project's goal is to achieve sustainable results, such as youth integration, competence development, and the formation of values (citizenship, sustainability). This project is an important tool for implementing the JLC's mission, providing invaluable value to MGT young people by helping them meet essential needs and develop competencies through experiential learning.
