Project Goal: The project aims to provide young people with fewer opportunities from Latgale, especially those living in rural areas and from socially disadvantaged families, with the chance to actively participate in local and international initiatives. The project promotes intercultural understanding, personal growth, and the development of skills through educational trips within the DiscoverEU program. Main Objectives: Active youth participation: Encourage young people to engage in local and European youth activities, strengthening their self-confidence and motivation to participate in civic life. School collaboration: Foster long-term cooperation between schools, developing teamwork and mutual learning. Personal growth: Enhance self-confidence, independence, and organizational skills through educational trips, developing responsibility and logistical abilities. Exploring European culture and values: Provide opportunities to explore European history, democracy, and sustainable lifestyles, focusing on specific themes such as cultural heritage or green living. Environmentally friendly behavior: Promote sustainable travel practices, such as using trains, reducing waste, consuming local products, and using reusable travel items, teaching these habits for everyday life as well. Recognition of learning outcomes: Ensure reflection and documentation of experiences through the Youthpass certificate, acknowledging acquired competences, including intercultural communication, cooperation, and personal development.
