Objectives

The quality and sustainability of projects carried out at national and international levels in the field of youth work largely depend on the knowledge and skills of youth workers who manage the projects. Various evaluation studies and youth project practices at the European level show that youth workers who are not sufficiently equipped in project cycle management (PCM) may experience serious difficulties in the planning, implementation and evaluation stages of projects. This both prevents the project from achieving its goals and negatively affects the learning process of the participants. In addition, many youth organizations that want to develop quality and long-term collaborations within the scope of the Erasmus+ program work with teams that do not have sufficient partnership capacity, and this makes the application, communication and implementation processes of the projects difficult. Interviews with our partners revealed that similar capacity gaps exist in different countries. Therefore, a common consensus has emerged that an international training and partnership building activity is necessary to increase the competencies of youth workers in PCM and to establish sustainable collaborations between organizations from different cultures. Our main aim with this project is to increase the capacity of the participating organizations in project preparation and management and to support them in establishing qualified international partnerships. We aim to achieve this goal by providing training on project cycle management, partnership building, task distribution, communication strategies and dealing with project crises. It is also aimed that the participating youth workers increase their knowledge within the framework of Erasmus+ and the European Youth Goals, become willing to develop joint projects in the future and be involved in an international cooperation network. The specific objectives of the project are as follows: - To develop the knowledge and skills of the participating youth workers on project cycle management (planning, implementation, evaluation, dissemination). - To encourage the sharing of experiences on partnership building processes in international projects and to work together on successful partnership models. - To create a network to establish long-term cooperation between partner organizations. - To ensure that the participants gain awareness of the ethical principles, cultural sensitivities and communication tools that should be taken into consideration when establishing partnerships. - To increase the capacity of the participating organizations to apply for different project types such as Erasmus+ KA1 and KA2.
