Objectives

All participants of the job-shadowing will have increased competence in trauma-informed care. SA will develop and pilot 3 new training modules that integrate culturally inclusive strategies for adult education. We will gain at least 5 new Turkish contacts to ensure sustainable cooperation. SA training activities will be more inclusive to underprivileged adult learners. And by project end, 80% of participating educators will report improved skills in self-care and stress management.

Background

Many educators (teachers, youth- and community workers) work with traumatized youth but lack proper training, impacting learning and development. The Superhero Academy specializes in trauma-informed education, social safety, and resilience through adult education and seeks to learn further. This study aims to learn from foreign best practices and observe trauma-informed teaching in Turkey. This experience will help us train personnel, enhance methods, and make adult learning more inclusive.
