Through the project “Beyond Borders, Together Towards the Future”, the “Ideas and Projects for Active Youth” Association aims to create a framework for learning and training through an educational travel experience. The direct beneficiaries will be five young people aged between 18 and 21, who face various forms of disadvantage due to economic, social, health-related, or other circumstances. The central element of the project is the Interrail journey, within the DiscoverEU initiative, which will take place over 15 days in Romania and other European countries chosen together with the participants, with the purpose of exploring the European cultural heritage. Throughout this experience, the participants, accompanied by a young and responsible facilitator, will have the opportunity to broaden their horizons and acquire essential competences for everyday life, supporting them in overcoming the obstacles they are facing. The preparation phase of the project will actively involve the young participants in organizing the journey from all perspectives, with a particular focus on logistics. Building on the experience accumulated by our organization over the years ([here you can insert the organization’s seniority, e.g. “with over 10 years of activity in the youth field”]), we will base the entire project on the principles of non-formal education, which we consider the most effective method for including young people with fewer opportunities..
