This project aims to support young people from Slovakia and Romania in discovering and comparing culture, history, and the everyday lives of youth in the past and present. It will take place through experiential and non-formal learning, allowing participants not only to gain new knowledge but also to develop practical skills and self-confidence. The main SMART objectives of the project are: To increase participants’ awareness of history and cultural heritage – young people will explore selected topics from the past and present and transform them into a shared output (e.g., film, exhibition, presentation). To improve digital skills and media literacy – participants will work with audiovisual equipment and learn the basics of creating and presenting digital content. To strengthen intercultural understanding and awareness of personal identity – young people will share cultural experiences, discover traditions, and seek common values. To promote inclusive and active participation of disadvantaged youth – all participants, including those with social or health disadvantages, will be given equal space for expression and collaboration. These objectives reflect the current needs of youth and respond to challenges of the modern world – lack of creative opportunities, low self-esteem, insufficient digital literacy, and the need for deeper intercultural understanding.
