Objectives

We aim to transform how young people understand and engage with fashion consumption by equipping them with environmental, digital, and intercultural skills—and by fostering a sense of shared responsibility across borders. Using non-formal education methods, our youth exchange will help participants become informed, skilled, and motivated agents of sustainable change. 1. Raise Awareness of Fast Fashion Impacts Through interactive workshops on textile production, labor rights, and waste statistics, participants will: -Examine how fast fashion contributes to pollution, resource depletion, and exploitative labor. -Use creative tools (visual storytelling, mood boards, guided reflection) to connect global issues to their daily choices. -Develop the knowledge and motivation to make conscious consumer decisions. 2. Build Practical Green Skills In hands-on “Eco-Workshop” sessions, young people will: -Learn clothing repair techniques (sewing, patching, mending). -Upcycle discarded garments into new designs, reducing textile waste. -Explore eco-design principles (natural dyes, sustainable materials) that they can share with peers back home. 3. Enhance Digital and AI Literacy Guided by Mláda Vlna’s digitization managers and our IT specialist, participants will: -Test AI-powered apps for tracking carbon footprints and identifying sustainable brands. -Collaborate on digital platforms (Miro, Canva) to co-create infographics and short videos. -Gain multimedia communication skills by planning and launching social-media campaigns under #YouthVsFastFashion. 4. Foster Intercultural Learning and Solidarity Bringing together 24 participants and 4 group leaders from Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, and Poland, we will: -Use structured icebreakers and intercultural evenings to share traditions, consumption habits, and environmental perspectives. -Assign mixed-nationality teams for simulation games and problem-solving tasks. -Cultivate empathy, respect, and the ability to collaborate across cultural differences. 5. Empower Community Multipliers During the seven-day exchange at Penzión Dukát, participants will: -Design follow-up actions such as the “Prešov Annual Style ReSwap,” school workshops, and online webinars. -Partner with the Municipality of Prešov for logistics and with Prešov Korzár for media coverage, inviting the local community to take part. -Return home ready to lead local events, peer-education sessions, and digital advocacy campaigns. 6. Recognize and Reflect on Learning Outcomes To help participants map their growth, we will integrate Youthpass: -Provide personal learning diaries with daily prompts (e.g., “What green skill did I develop today?”). -Facilitate creative group evaluations (photo reflections, peer feedback) mid-exchange and on the final day. -Support each young person in drafting their Youthpass certificate, focusing on key competences: environmental literacy, digital competence, cultural awareness, critical thinking, and initiative.
