The TUNE Erasmus+ project aims to empower young people to use music as a universal language to promote empathy, diversity, and inclusion, while addressing the challenges of racism, discrimination, and social exclusion that many young people face today. Through two connected mobilities, the first in Turkey and the second in Austria, the project creates a safe, creative, and inclusive space where participants can explore these issues, express their personal stories, and work together to produce artistic outputs. By engaging young people through non-formal education methods, collaborative workshops, and creative music sessions, the project encourages them to reflect on discrimination, develop mutual understanding, and find common ground through shared creativity. The activities are designed not only to raise awareness but also to inspire action: participants will learn to transform their personal experiences and insights into songs, music videos, and performances that carry messages of unity, empathy, and hope. The main objectives of the project are: -To raise awareness among young people about the realities of racism, discrimination, and exclusion, both in Europe and within their own communities. -To develop key competences, such as creativity, teamwork, intercultural understanding, and active citizenship, through collaborative artistic creation. -To strengthen participants’ confidence and voice by giving them opportunities to perform publicly and share their perspectives with local audiences. -To empower participants with fewer opportunities by fully involving them in all stages of the project, from planning to creation to dissemination. -To produce concrete outputs, original songs, recorded performances, and music videos, that will remain available online and be used by youth organisations and communities beyond the lifetime of the project. Beyond its creative focus, the project also seeks to encourage young people to become active changemakers. By using music as a powerful tool for dialogue, participants will learn how art can mobilise communities, raise awareness, and promote positive values more effectively than traditional approaches. They will gain practical skills in self-expression, collaboration, and advocacy while contributing to a collective European message against discrimination. In this way, the project doesn’t just bring young people together for a temporary exchange,it equips them with tools, experiences, and confidence that they can carry back to their communities, turning their creativity into lasting impact.
