This project foresees a professional development activity over 8 days (including 2 travel days) that will bring together 24 youth workers from 6 organisations across Austria, Czechia, Latvia, Egypt, Algeria, and Tunisia. In addition, one experienced trainer, one qualified facilitator, and one administrator will be involved to ensure high quality and smooth running of the mobility. The PDA focuses on equipping youth workers with artistic and restorative practices as innovative non-formal education tools to support youth wellbeing, resilience, and empowerment. Through hands-on creative workshops, such as pottery, candle making, weaving, tote bag painting, and Islamic art, participants will explore how creativity can foster inclusion, self-expression, and community engagement. From the perspective of youth work practice, the project strengthens youth workers’ capacity to design and implement meaningful workshops, create safe spaces for young people, and integrate creativity into everyday youth activities. Participants will develop skills in facilitation, programme design, and reflective practice, making their youth work more responsive to the mental health and social inclusion needs of young people. The project also helps youth workers connect artistic methods to civic engagement and employability, expanding the practical tools they can offer to their beneficiaries. The main objectives are to: 1. Strengthen youth workers’ competences in facilitating artistic and restorative practices. 2. Provide innovative tools to address youth challenges such as stress, exclusion, and limited opportunities for self-expression. 3. Promote creativity as a pathway to resilience, empowerment, and employability. 4. Foster intercultural learning and cooperation between European and MENA youth organisations. 5. Support civic engagement and community development through creative, non-formal education approaches. 6. Develop an online resource library compiling methods and workshop models to ensure long-term transfer and accessibility of results.
