The project aims to empower young people in Austria and Madeira to take the lead in addressing the challenges of waste and fast fashion while strengthening their civic participation. Its objectives are to: (1) Increase young people’s awareness of the environmental and social impacts of waste and fast fashion, empowering them to make sustainable choices. (2) Provide opportunities for youth to take civic and leadership roles, strengthening their ability to advocate for climate justice and responsible consumption at all levels. (3) Equip young people with practical skills in waste reduction, repurposing, and creative activism. (4) Boost youth involvement in dialogue with municipalities and public services, ensuring their proposals are considered in implementing EU regulations. (5) Strengthen youth participation and collaboration between an industrialized city and a remote island, promoting solidarity, exchange of practices, and joint action for a sustainable Europe.
