Green Makers aims to raise awareness among young people from France and Belgium about environmental issues while developing their personal, social, and creative skills. Through participatory and innovative activities, it gives young people the opportunity to design, experiment with, and implement concrete actions to create a positive ecological impact in their communities. Green Makers is intended to be a true game changer, transforming young people from passive consumers into “conscious consumers”, capable of adopting responsible and sustainable practices. The project also promotes social inclusion and self-confidence by giving young people, often underestimated by their surroundings, the chance to take responsibility, showcase their achievements, and strengthen their initiative. At the same time, the project encourages local and sustainable action: each group of young people develops a concrete project — whether a personal or collective initiative — that they can implement after the mobility. Intercultural exchange and cooperation between young people from France and Belgium lie at the heart of the project, within a playful and participatory framework that stimulates creativity and collaboration. Using non-formal methodologies tailored to youth, learning journals, and creative tools such as flip-flops or expression walls, facilitators support participants throughout the process, from preparation to project implementation. Continuous and participatory evaluation allows the skills acquired to be effectively recognized in the Youthpass. In summary, Green Makers seeks to transform young people into conscious and engaged actors, capable of moving from passive consumption to thoughtful and sustainable action, while leaving a positive and tangible impact in their communities.
