Objectives

With RiseUp, we want to create a space where youth work becomes a catalyst for empowerment, resilience, and active citizenship. From the perspective of youth work practice, the project will aim to equip young people not only with technical competences but with the personal confidence, emotional wellbeing, and intercultural sensitivity they need to navigate uncertainty and shape their own futures. Youth workers across Europe often observe that young people carry many ideas but lack the tools, support, and safe environment to transform these ideas into action. Through non-formal education, RiseUp will give participants both the structure and freedom to experiment, fail safely, learn, and try again—skills essential for lifelong learning and civic engagement. The objectives of the project are fourfold. First, we want to empower youth facing instability and low confidence by offering them an international platform where their voices are valued, their creativity is celebrated, and their resilience is strengthened. By focusing on wellbeing alongside entrepreneurship, we will help them connect their inner resources with external opportunities. Second, we want to develop entrepreneurial competences such as problem-solving, teamwork, creativity, and pitching through experiential workshops. These will not be limited to business contexts but will show young people how entrepreneurship is a life skill that helps them take initiative, identify opportunities, and act with courage in their daily lives. Third, we want to strengthen digital competences by guiding participants in the use of tools like Canva, social media, and storytelling platforms. This will support both their employability and their ability to express themselves responsibly in a digital world. Fourth, we want to foster intercultural dialogue and inclusion by bringing together diverse groups of young people, including those with fewer opportunities, and creating a microcosm of European solidarity where empathy and mutual respect are actively practised. From a youth work perspective, the project will also aim to promote active participation and leadership. Participants will be involved in co-designing workshops, facilitating sessions, running energisers, and leading dissemination after the exchange. This involvement will ensure that they are not passive consumers but co-creators of their own learning journey. At the same time, youth leaders and facilitators will gain practical experience in adapting non-formal methods to diverse groups, enhancing their professional competences and strengthening their organisations’ capacities
