The project Leave your Mark aims to create a safe and inspiring environment in which young people can explore who they are, how they relate to others, and how they can take meaningful action in society. By working with the macro–meso–micro levels, participants are guided to reflect on their personal identity, their direct social circles, and their role within the broader, diverse and sustainable society. From a youth work perspective, the project seeks to: - Strengthen self-awareness and identity development: giving young people space to explore their values, talents, and backgrounds in an open and creative way. - Foster intercultural dialogue and mutual understanding: using diverse group settings, cultural exchange, and creative workshops to break down stereotypes and build empathy. - Encourage critical and systemic thinking: enabling participants to see the links between their personal choices, their communities, and global challenges such as inclusion and sustainability. - Empower active citizenship: motivating both young people and youth workers to leave a positive mark in their communities, by developing ideas and initiatives that contribute to a more inclusive and sustainable future. Through this combination of reflection, creativity, and intercultural exchange, Leave your Mark supports young people in building resilience, empathy, and a sense of belonging. At the same time, youth workers gain tools and inspiration to integrate these practices into their daily work with young people.
