We are organising a preliminary phase preceding the elections of the Flemish Youth Council with the goal to allow young people to participate in policy making in an accessible and meaningful manner. We have listed seven goals which we shall reach with three different trajectories within this project. Firstly we will collect input with a diverse a close-to-representative group of children and youngsters in Flanders and Brussels which will feed the policy work of the Youth Council in the mandate of 2027-2030. Secondly we will recrute, guide and coach the new candidates of the Advisory Board of the Youth Council, in coordination with the current team of volunteers and Board. Thirdly, we will inform as many children and youngsters in Flanders and Brussels as possible about our work and stimulate them to vote for the new Board which will represent their voice in policy in the next three years.
