Objectives

“A New Taste of CulturEU!” is an itinerant youth exchange across Bulgaria, Romania, and Serbia, involving 28 young people (≥60% from fewer opportunities) and 2 facilitators, with North Macedonia as a partner. By combining gastronomy, cultural heritage, and digital storytelling, the project empowers youth to explore European identity, creativity, and inclusion while strengthening their competences through non-formal education. The main objectives are: -Foster inclusion and equal participation by engaging rural youth, NEETs, and disadvantaged young people as active creators, not just beneficiaries. -Promote European identity, citizenship, and values through lived intercultural experiences, grassroots encounters, and mobility across three countries. -Develop digital literacy and creative expression by equipping participants with skills in photography, video editing, and online campaigning, reducing the digital gap in their communities. -Strengthen cultural awareness and heritage appreciation by connecting traditions with creativity and reinterpreting gastronomy as a tool for dialogue and pride. -Build long-term multipliers for youth work by preparing participants to act as ambassadors in their communities through follow-up events, peer-to-peer activities, and Youthpass recognition. From a youth work perspective, the project provides a structured learning process where young people take ownership in every phase — planning, implementation, and follow-up. Youth workers and leaders act as facilitators and mentors, ensuring safe spaces for creativity, intercultural dialogue, and reflection. The itinerant format itself is a powerful pedagogical tool: by moving across borders, participants learn resilience, adaptability, and cooperation, while organisations build stronger cooperation capacities. The project’s outcomes — a Digital Storytelling Toolkit, an Intercultural Culinary Guide, and youth-led campaigns — will remain as practical resources for NGOs, schools, and youth centres. More importantly, participants will return as multipliers, equipped with competences, confidence, and networks that strengthen youth work in their communities and inspire future Erasmus+ initiatives.
