"Courage is personal but support is collective“ The project aims to strengthen the capacity of youth workers to support young people in vulnerable situations by introducing and applying a trauma-informed approach in youth work practice. Our objectives are to equip 32 youth workers from 8 countries with practical tools and competences for creating safe, inclusive and supportive environments, to promote mental health and wellbeing among young people, and to reduce the risks of re-traumatisation in educational and community settings. The project also seeks to foster international cooperation and exchange of good practices between experienced and new organisations in the Erasmus+ programme, ensuring that youth workers can confidently address challenges related to trauma, social exclusion and mental health in their daily work. Specific objectives of the project: Objective 1: To raise awareness among youth workers about the effects of trauma on the behavior, emotions and social inclusion of young people. Objective 2: To familiarize them with the basics of trauma-informed practice and to provide applicable tools and methodologies for working with traumatized youth. Objective 3: To develop practical skills for creating a safe, supportive and inclusive environment in everyday youth work. Objective 4: To provide opportunities for the exchange of experience and good practices between youth workers from different countries working with vulnerable and marginalized groups. Objective 5: To strengthen the commitment of youth workers to European values – equality, non-discrimination, human dignity and inclusion – through their practical application in a trauma-informed approach.
