The HORIZON-EQ project aims to empower young people as active agents of change by strengthening their capacity to address gender inequality and promote the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) within their local communities and across Europe. Its objectives are to enhance youth participation in democratic life by creating inclusive spaces for dialogue with decision-makers, to equip young people with practical competences in leadership, advocacy, and intercultural cooperation, and to develop concrete youth-led outputs such as action roadmaps, charters, and declarations. By fostering cross-border collaboration among youth, municipalities, and civil society, the project seeks to bridge gaps in knowledge, participation, and policy implementation. Ultimately, HORIZON-EQ aims to embed gender equality and sustainability into local governance, strengthen European identity at grassroots level, and ensure long-term societal impact through inclusive, youth-driven initiatives.
