Objectives

Our project responds to key needs identified among young Europeans. These include limited practical environmental skills, insufficient intercultural sustainability dialogue and feelings of helplessness regarding ecological challenges. Many youth encounter participation barriers like geographical isolation, social disadvantages or inadequate access to non-formal education. This initiative establishes an inclusive learning environment that converts passive concern into active engagement. This project seeks to create meaningful transformation in youth work practice. We aim to demonstrate international collaboration's role in strengthening local environmental activism. We will show how non-formal education methods effectively build sustainability competencies. The project tests innovative approaches to eco-anxiety while developing reproducible models for youth-led environmental action. The project brings together 38 participants from six nations: Cyprus, Hungary, Georgia, Greece, Lithuania and Romania. This diversity ensures rich intercultural learning and multiple environmental perspectives. Project objectives are to: -- Enhance youth workers' ability to address environmental issues using non-formal education methods. -- Develop participants' sustainability competencies including critical thinking, project management, and advocacy skills. -- Establish sustainable networks among youth organizations for continued environmental collaboration. -- Empower disadvantaged youth through inclusive participation structures and tailored support. -- Create adaptable educational resources and methodologies for environmental youth work. This project represents a substantial advancement in youth work innovation. It integrates environmental education with intercultural learning and inclusion strategies. The initiative will generate lasting impact through stronger organizational partnerships, improved youth worker capabilities and empowered young community leaders. It demonstrates youth work's potential to address global challenges through local action and international cooperation.
