Objectives

During the Youth Exchange, participants will engage in a variety of interactive, creative, and educational activities designed to explore sustainable fashion and environmental awareness. They will work in international teams to collect and upcycle textile waste, turning it into unique garments and art pieces using both traditional techniques and AI-assisted design tools. Participants will take part in workshops on circular economy principles, sustainable design, and responsible consumer behavior, combining theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice. They will also experiment with digital technologies, including AI and VR, to design clothing, create promotional videos, and develop graphic materials related to sustainable fashion. A highlight of the project will be the fashion show and photo exhibition, where participants will present their garments and creative projects to the local community and partner organizations. They will also contribute to documenting the process through photography, video, and social media updates, strengthening their digital and communication competences. Additional activities include critical thinking discussions, team brainstorming sessions, and reflection circles, allowing participants to analyze the environmental impact of fast fashion, share ideas, and develop collaborative solutions. They will rotate through roles such as project coordinators, workshop assistants, and media creators, gaining leadership and organizational experience while actively contributing to each activity. By participating in these activities, youth will develop creativity, critical thinking, teamwork, digital competences, and intercultural communication skills, while gaining practical experience in sustainable fashion. The hands-on, collaborative nature of the exchange ensures that all participants are actively engaged and empowered to apply their learning during the project and beyond.
