Objectives

The aim of our youth exchange is to empower young adults—including those from remote areas and socially and economically disadvantaged families—by focusing on three main goals: wellbeing, personal development, and active participation. In a supportive, inclusive, and reflective environment, participants will have the space to slow down, connect with themselves, and gain practical tools to shape their personal and community futures. From the perspective of youth work practice, the project’s objectives are built around these three goals: Wellbeing We will provide concrete tools, methods, and practices and encourage pax to share their personally used ones to strengthen mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing. They will identify their needs, passions, and aspirations, and learn how to integrate wellbeing practices into their daily lives. Personal development When discovering their goals and aspirations, we will provide space for them and encourage them to explore which skills they can work on and keep on developing. We will guide pax to explore their strengths and values, develop essential life skills such as communication, cooperation, and leadership, and create realistic action plans for their future. This process will give them clarity, self-confidence, and the motivation to pursue their personal goals. Active participation Participants will link their personal growth and goals to how they can turn it to meaningful community engagement. They will learn how to turn ideas into action, work collaboratively, and take initiative in projects that contribute to them pursuing they goals and creating positive change in their local and European communities, and guide them to explore how taking action in areas of their interest can benefit the community and society. Our approach will use non-formal learning methods—such as peer to peer skill sharing, workshops, group discussions, creative activities, and reflective exercises—to build transferable competences like teamwork, cultural sensitivity, and critical thinking. By bringing together young people from diverse backgrounds, we will create a safe space for dialogue, collaboration, and intercultural exchange. By achieving these three goals, the project will leave participants with improved wellbeing, stronger personal skills, and the confidence to take an active role in their communities. This focus directly supports the priorities of youth work by fostering inclusion, empowerment, and civic engagement.
