The “Digital Nomads” youth exchange seeks to address concrete challenges faced by young people who aspire to, or are already exploring, mobile and digital lifestyles. From the perspective of youth work practice, the project aims to empower young people with tools, competences and supportive networks that help them thrive in such contexts while remaining mentally healthy, resilient and socially responsible. The main objectives are: • To strengthen young people’s mental well-being by equipping them with practical strategies for stress prevention, balance and coping with uncertainty. • To raise awareness of digital burnout and to offer youth-friendly methods such as mindfulness, journaling, peer support and time-management. • To develop resilience and life skills (adaptability, self-organisation, teamwork) through experiential learning and outdoor challenges. • To promote sustainable and responsible travel practices, linking youth mobility with ecological awareness and ethical engagement with host communities. • To foster intercultural learning and create a supportive European peer community, reducing isolation often linked with nomadic lifestyles. • To produce a tangible co-created resource (the e-book), making peer advice and strategies available to wider youth audiences. From the youth work perspective, the project models non-formal education as a safe and supportive space where young people learn by doing, reflect systematically on competences, and gain recognition through Youthpass. The exchange strengthens participants as multipliers who bring new practices into their local groups, schools, NGOs and communities.
