The project focuses on improving the digital skills and civic engagement of young people aged 14 to 17, who are increasingly exposed to disinformation and other challenges of the digital world. Young people spend a significant amount of time online, where they often face manipulative content such as fake news or deepfake materials. The aim of the project is therefore to equip them with the necessary tools and skills to critically evaluate the information they consume on the internet and to recognize disinformation. In addition to developing the ability to identify disinformation, the project focuses on raising awareness about the functioning of the European Union. Studies show that young people have limited access to information about the EU that is tailored to their preferences. We aim to overcome this information gap and provide young people with a better understanding of key concepts such as the rule of law, civil rights, and democratic processes on which the EU is built. At the same time, we want to encourage young people to actively participate in public and democratic life at the local and European levels. The main goals of the project are therefore to: - Help young people develop the ability to recognize disinformation, fake news, and deepfake content. - Strengthen their digital competences, especially in the area of safe and ethical online behavior. - Improve awareness of the functioning of the European Union, democratic processes, and the values it is built upon. - Provide young people with information about the opportunities the European Union offers them. - Encourage young people to take an active part in public and political life at the local, regional, national, and European levels. The project will be implemented using experiential learning methods, which allow participants to learn through their own mistakes and experiences. This approach supports the personal growth of young people and strengthens their teamwork and critical thinking skills. Participants will also have the opportunity to practically understand concepts such as solidarity, tolerance, and respect, contributing to the development of their social and civic skills. The project aligns with the objectives of the Erasmus+ programme, as it supports the digital and civic competences of young people and their active involvement in democratic processes. Thanks to international cooperation and teamwork, participants will develop respect for diversity and learn to better understand and appreciate different cultures, opinions, and approaches.
