Objectives

Young people today are facing a time of significant challenges: physically, emotionally, and socially. These challenges are especially intense for those dealing with racism, discrimination, or poverty, which have become more common. Unfortunately, many marginalised groups often lack the support they need. A lot of young people in Europe are at risk of feeling left out. Many can’t access their rights like good education, especially if they come from marginalised groups. Many from groups like Roma or LGBTQI+ often face unfair treatment, prejudice, and even hate crimes, which makes things even harder for them. To truly address these challenges, society must provide young people with opportunities for self-expression and a voice in the decisions that affect them. This is where artistic expression, particularly through theatre, can play a vital role. Theatre as an artistic expression offers a unique and powerful approach to promoting inclusion. Unlike conventional communication methods, art provides a personal and emotional connection that allows young people to express themselves in ways than words alone can do. Young people can express their emotions, ambitions, and struggles in ways that go beyond conventional communication by acting, storytelling, and participating in other creative activities. Through theatre, participants can step into different roles, explore new perspectives, and create stories that reflect their real-life struggles. Participating in theatre and other artistic activities helps young people to develop empathy, collaborate with others, while also improving their ability to express themselves. Our objectives are: - Promoting Social Inclusion We will focus on bringing together young people from different backgrounds to promote equality, tolerance, and understanding, participants will engage in various theatrical activities that encourage active citizenship. This reflects Erasmus+ commitment to fostering equal opportunities, inclusion, diversity, and fairness. The Erasmus+ Programme emphasises supporting individuals who face social, economic, and cultural barriers, ensuring they have access to opportunities that promote participation and active citizenship. - Exploring Theatre to Address Social Issues The program will fully engage participants in the creative process of creating theatrical performances that address stereotypes and bring out discrimination and social exclusion. This aligns with the Erasmus+ aim of developing social and civic competences through innovative learning methods. - Increasing Intercultural Awareness Through interactions with youngsters from various countries, participants will develop intercultural competence, building greater empathy, becoming more open minded, and gaining ability to communicate across cultural boundaries. This intercultural exchange aligns with Erasmus+ objective of fostering intercultural dialogue and understanding. - Promoting Common European Values Our project aligns with Erasmus+ goal of promoting common European values such as human dignity, equality, and respect for human rights. Through theatre, participants will explore themes related to citizenship and the importance of diversity in modern European societies. By educating young people about these values in an engaging, creative way, we help ensure they develop a strong understanding of their role as active European citizens. This approach is in line with Erasmus+ efforts to foster a sense of European identity and unity. - Engaging Youth through Erasmus+ Opportunities Young people will be introduced to the Erasmus+ program and its opportunities for personal and professional development. By demonstrating the possibilities within the Erasmus+ framework, we help young people realise the potential within Europe to grow, learn, and connect with others. - Encouraging Non-Formal and Informal Learning Participants will engage in non-formal and informal education. With this method, youngsters can develop fundamental life skills in a flexible and stimulating environment, such as leadership, creativity, and problem-solving. This reflects the Erasmus+ goal of fostering creativity and innovation in young people through non-formal educational activities.
