Objectives

The problem of social inclusion has become a pressing challenge in Europe and beyond, driven by migration, displacement, and the struggles of vulnerable groups to integrate into society. According to the latest UN reports, more than 100 million refugees and migrants are forced to leave their homes worldwide, and young people make up a significant part of this number. For local communities and especially for young people, this situation brings questions of identity, belonging, and coexistence, which need to be addressed with care and solidarity. This project aims to create a safe and stimulating environment where young people from different countries can come together, share their experiences, and reflect on the challenges of migration and social inclusion. By participating in interactive workshops, creative activities, and intercultural exchanges, young participants will be encouraged to develop empathy towards refugees and migrants, to better understand the impact of exclusion, and to discover how they can personally contribute to building more inclusive communities. The main objectives are: -to provide deeper understanding of the realities of migration and refugees in Europe and the challenges they face in everyday life-to raise awareness among participants about stereotypes, prejudice, and social exclusion, and to develop critical thinking towards these issues; -to encourage solidarity, tolerance, and mutual respect through intercultural dialogue and shared experiences; -to strengthen participants’ self-confidence, communication skills, and ability to express their views on social topics; -to inspire young people to take initiative in their local communities by applying what they have learned during the exchange; -to promote active European citizenship and a sense of belonging to a wider community based on common values; -to give participants the opportunity to experience non-formal learning methods that support creativity, teamwork, and problem solving. By the end of the project, participants will not only gain new knowledge but also practical experiences that can shape their attitudes and behaviour in everyday life. They will return to their local contexts with a stronger motivation to be active, responsible, and inclusive members of society, ready to contribute to a more tolerant and cohesive Europe.
