Newsroom Europe+ 2026 offers young people practical and hands-on access to the European Union. Through media work, political encounters and European education they learn about decision-making processes, meet key actors and find their voice in public discourse. As young journalists, participants work in workshops, editorial meetings and excursions to the EU Council Presidencies. They acquire journalistic skills, reflect on their perspectives in international exchange and produce content for a young audience across Europe. The project implements the EU Youth Goal “Connecting the EU with Youth” – through encounters, insights into institutions and youth-oriented reporting. At the same time, it strengthens personal development: openness, acceptance and democratic participation are encouraged, competences, motivation and European engagement expanded, and self-efficacy in the European context made tangible and lasting.
