Growth Coaches combines training and participation on two levels: young people are empowered as peer coaches and design low-threshold educational and participation formats. Participants benefit from youth-oriented content, are actively involved, and enabled to contribute. In practice, the peer coaches implement workshops, discussion formats, and participation activities. The three strands – Demokratiemobil (democracy education on the ground), SIMANI Townhalls (debate and dialogue culture), and SoulQuest Mental Health Coaches (workshops on mental health) – interconnect to create spaces where young people experience participation, address conflicts constructively, and strengthen one another. This builds a sustainable structure that makes participation tangible, trains young people as multipliers, and fosters democratic culture as well as empowerment in the long term – both regionally and across Europe.
