With the project “Europa-Escape”, young people jointly develop an innovative escape game that playfully conveys European values, democracy, and participation. The aim is to raise awareness among young people about social issues, to promote their active involvement, and to equip them with competences such as teamwork, creativity, media use, and problem-solving. The project specifically addresses young people with fewer opportunities and ensures their participation through barrier-free access and individual support. In addition to the thematic focus on Europe and sustainability, the young people experience self-efficacy by taking responsibility for shaping the project themselves. The results – game concept, methods, and materials – are disseminated through events, workshops, and digital channels, thus ensuring long-term impact beyond the project duration.
