The project promotes political participation among young people, especially children and young people who have experienced displacement or come from disadvantaged backgrounds. The aim is to make their voices heard in youth dialogue and to give them equal access to information, participation and co-creation. The focus is on climate justice, democracy and children's rights – in line with General Comment No. 26 of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child and European Youth Goal No. 10 ‘A sustainable, green Europe’. The wannseeFORUM's workshop principle combines civic education and artistic expression. This creates low-threshold learning spaces in which young people develop skills such as cooperation, critical thinking and responsibility. The creative results flow directly into the youth dialogue. The project strengthens inclusion, diversity and democratic learning and creates spaces for experience that empower young people in the long term.
