The Mobile Media Academy is a nationwide peer-to-peer education project that promotes media literacy and youth-led media work. Young media creators are trained as multipliers and design workshops in youth editorial teams and schools, where journalistic basics, information literacy, and news competence are taught in a practical and participatory way. The Academy fosters democratic awareness, creative media production, and civic engagement. It strengthens young people's long-term commitment to voluntary work and their active involvement in shaping the organization. This creates a dynamic network that shares knowledge, generates new impulses, and sustainably advances media education across Germany – especially in rural and educationally disadvantaged regions.
