Through Spaces Beyond – A youth project on creative activism and community spaces in Berlin, we aim to empower young people under 30 to design, lead and implement two major youth participation events. The project addresses the urgent issue of disappearing youth and cultural spaces by giving young people the means to showcase their achievements, express political and social concerns through creative tools (screen printing, radio, performance), and engage in dialogue with decision-makers about future solutions. Objectives are: 1) strengthen young people’s competences in organisation, facilitation and advocacy, 2) provide accessible entry points for diverse youth to participate in civic life, and 3) give visibility to youth voices and initiatives, linking them to broader debates on culture, inclusion and democratic participation in Berlin.
