We aim to achieve several important goals with this project. Firstly, we want to strengthen young people's engagement in volunteering in Skive through learning and inspiration from Irish experiences. We see a significant need to involve more young people in volunteer work, as it provides them with opportunities to experience community, responsibility, and meaningful relationships, and because the social sector needs new energy and perspectives. We also aim for our Irish partners to benefit from the collaboration. The specific learning outcomes for the participants are: To gain knowledge about methods that motivate young people to engage in volunteer work. To learn how to build inclusive and democratic communities. To gain insight into collaboration between young people, associations, and local communities. To develop new ideas and activities that can be transferred to Skive. To strengthen the participants' intercultural competencies and understanding of European perspectives on volunteering. By achieving these goals, we hope to inspire young people to see volunteering as a natural part of their lives and as a path to learning, development, and well-being. We also aim to create frameworks where volunteering in the social sector can thrive and to strengthen civil society in Skive. The specific learning outcomes for our Irish partner: Opportunity to strengthen their international cooperation and knowledge exchange. Access to new perspectives and skills from foreign colleagues. Opportunity to develop and test new methods and approaches in practice. Recognition as part of a European quality network, which can enhance the organization’s status and attract new partners and resources.
