TC Pathfinders is a youth worker training programme focusing on adventure education, mental health, and self-development, aiming to equip participants with skills to create adventure-based initiatives fostering young people's mental well-being and personal growth. Combining experiential activities, workshops, and expert guidance, it provides youth workers with means to promote mindfulness, positive relationships, and trauma-informed strategies in youth settings. The initiative seeks to arm youth workers and educators with pragmatic tools to support young individuals – including vulnerable cohorts like refugees and migrants – in coping with contemporary challenges. Enhance Mental Health Support: Provide youth workers with understanding and strategies for addressing mental health challenges young people face, including trauma-informed practices relevant for vulnerable groups like refugees and migrants. Foster Self-Awareness and Resilience: Develop self-awareness, resilience, and emotional intelligence in youth workers themselves, enhancing their practice with young people. Rooted in mirroring – a tool for self-challenge, fostering self-compassion, empathy for others/nature, and community/ecosystem belonging – it leverages non-formal education and experiential learning. This training bolsters youth workers' personal/professional growth, arming them with tools/skills to be compassionate guides crafting supportive, inclusive environments for vulnerable youth.
