Objectives

With Problem2Project, we want to strengthen the capacity of youth workers and active youth leaders to turn the challenges they face in their daily practice into high-quality youth projects. In many NGOs, youth workers are strong in direct work with young people but lack systematic methods to analyse complex problems such as misinformation, radicalisation, ethical use of AI, or low levels of youth initiative. As a result, important issues often remain unaddressed in project applications. The main objectives of the project are: - To equip youth workers with advanced problem-analysis tools (such as problem tree, iceberg model, stakeholder mapping, theory of change, and KPI planning) so they can better understand the needs of young people and their communities. - To develop their skills in designing evidence-based and fundable project concepts, transforming real challenges into structured project ideas. - To support reflective practice and recognition of competences, using frameworks like the European and Estonian Youth Worker Competence Models and Youthpass. From the perspective of youth work practice, the project will enable youth workers to become more strategic and innovative, to design projects that truly respond to young people’s realities, and to raise the overall quality of youth work in their organisations and communities.
