Soulscaping: Wayfinding into Belonging (SWIB) is a residential training course in Estonia that equips youth workers with a nature-centred, ecotherapy-informed approach they can transfer directly into daily youth work. The activity begins with two online preparatory meetings and a short preparatory visit to align roles, safety, inclusion and logistics. The core is a seven-day programme in the Estonian forest that blends interactive inputs, embodied practice, nature connection and creative eco-expression, followed by structured follow-up: two post-training video meetings, mentoring in a shared messenger group, and guided dissemination using our guidebook, journal and resource library. Across the seven days, mornings introduce the Soulscaping framework through short, participatory sessions using the Guidebook, while afternoons move into applied ecotherapy methods outdoors using the Journal for reflection and transfer. Evenings focus on council-style sharing, peer feedback and integration. Throughout, we model trauma-aware, consent-based facilitation, outdoor safety and “leave no trace” ethics. Participants are supported to design a short place-based sequence they can run at home and to document outcomes using simple evaluation tools that can also map to Youthpass competences. The follow-up phase supports local pilots, collects evidence of use, and nurtures collaboration across the partner network, while also feeding participant feedback back into refining the Soulscaping framework itself.
