The aim of the project “Estonian Model United Nations” (EstMUN 2026) is to provide young people with a practical and meaningful experience in the fields of international relations, diplomacy, and civic participation. The main objective is to increase participants’ knowledge of how the UN works, strengthen their debating and argumentation skills, and improve their understanding of democratic processes and international cooperation. Special attention is given to including young people with fewer opportunities, such as Ukrainian refugees and youth from rural areas. Through this project, young people will be empowered to participate actively in society, gain confidence, and develop values such as tolerance, cooperation, and critical thinking.
