Objectives

The Landscapes of Femininity youth exchange aims to create a safe and empowering space for young people who identify as femininities, including young women, non binary youth and LGBTQIA+ individuals, to explore their identities, express themselves creatively and strengthen their sense of belonging within a European context. The project responds to the growing need for youth centered initiatives that address gender equality, mental health, resilience and social inclusion, especially in rural and disadvantaged areas where opportunities for intercultural exchange and artistic engagement remain limited. From the perspective of youth work practice, the project seeks to strengthen the capacity of young people to recognize and articulate their experiences, emotions and identities through creative and participatory methods. Theatre, drama therapy, land art and storytelling will be used as tools that encourage expression, foster dialogue and promote personal growth. These methods are inclusive and accessible, allowing participants with different abilities, cultural backgrounds and levels of experience to engage equally in the process. Another objective is to promote intercultural learning and solidarity among young people from different countries. By bringing together groups from Greece, Spain, France and Bulgaria the exchange creates opportunities for participants to understand diverse perspectives on femininity, equality and resilience. This intercultural experience will help them challenge stereotypes, reduce prejudices and develop empathy. It will also strengthen their European identity by showing them that despite cultural differences, they share common struggles and aspirations. The project also aims to build resilience and wellbeing among young people who face situations of exclusion or vulnerability. Many participants come from rural or semi rural areas with limited access to opportunities, while others come from conflict affected regions of Ukraine or belong to communities that face discrimination. Through creative workshops in nature and guided reflection sessions, the exchange will provide tools for self care, empowerment and coping with difficult experiences. At organisational level the objectives are to strengthen the capacity of the partner organisations to work inclusively, to integrate creative and therapeutic methodologies into youth work and to establish a sustainable partnership that can lead to further European projects. By engaging with the Erasmus Youth Quality Standards, the project aims to improve the quality and relevance of youth work practices in all three organisations. Finally, the project aims to generate wider social impact by raising awareness of gender equality, inclusion and sustainability in the local communities of the participating countries. The public performance and land art installation will serve as a platform for dialogue with local residents, municipalities and cultural institutions. Through dissemination activities such as exhibitions, workshops and digital outputs, the results will reach broader audiences at local, national and European level. In summary the project seeks to achieve empowerment of young people with fewer opportunities, to strengthen their creative and intercultural competences, to support their wellbeing and resilience, to build the capacity of partner organisations and to contribute to a more inclusive and sustainable Europe through youth led artistic expression.
