Objectives

The main aim of the EQUIP: Empowering Quality Inclusivity Practices project is to strengthen the capacity of youth workers to build inclusive, safe, and participatory environments for young people from diverse backgrounds. In youth work practice, this means equipping professionals and volunteers with practical tools, innovative methodologies, and reflective spaces that help them work more effectively with young people who face discrimination, marginalisation, or social exclusion. Through non-formal learning methods, the project will: • Enhance intercultural awareness and competence among youth workers, enabling them to recognise and address cultural differences, stereotypes, and biases in their daily practice. • Provide concrete strategies and activities that youth workers can directly apply in their organisations and local communities, from inclusive facilitation techniques to methods that encourage participation and dialogue. • Foster peer-to-peer exchange and collaboration so that youth workers learn from each other’s realities and practices across Europe, creating a pool of shared knowledge and resources. • Empower youth workers to act as multipliers by transferring what they learn to colleagues, volunteers, and the young people they work with. Ultimately, the project seeks to contribute to a more cohesive and resilient youth work field in Europe — one that celebrates diversity, promotes tolerance and equity, and strengthens solidarity across cultural, national, ethnic, and religious groups.
