Objectives

The project aims to strengthen everyday youth work by equipping 24 youth workers from EURPAGIA, Sokolik and Gençlik Fırsatları Derneği with practical, low cost and inclusive sport based methods they can apply immediately with young people. The activity is an 8 day training in Filiates, using the Students’ Residence of Filiates for indoor learning and the Sports Center of Filiates for practical blocks. The core idea is to blend hands on practice with structured reflection and planning so methods move straight from the gym to each organisation’s weekly programmes. Objectives from the perspective of youth work practice -Build a ready to use repertoire of inclusive sport sessions that work in mixed ability, mixed language and low resource settings -Improve facilitation skills for safe, engaging delivery in real spaces, including warm up to cool down choreography, group dynamics and clear communication signals -Strengthen capacity to engage young people with fewer opportunities, including NEET, migrant and rural youth, through adaptations, role options and outreach messages -Embed safety and safeguarding routines in daily work with simple risk checks, incident and near miss notes and standard space and equipment procedures -Develop a compact toolkit of session cards, inclusion tips, safety prompts and quick checklists that staff and volunteers can use without extra training -Integrate Youthpass through goal setting, daily evidence and final self assessment so learning is recognised and visible -Plan concrete follow up in each organisation with two local workshops and integration of selected methods into regular calendars within three months -Strengthen cooperation between the three organisations by aligning quality standards, shared templates and a small community of practice -Promote green and affordable delivery by prioritising low resource methods, equipment reuse and short walking transfers between venues -Improve basic monitoring in youth work by using light indicators on reach, inclusion, safety and participant feedback to guide continuous improvement What we want to achieve in practice -Youth workers return home confident to run inclusive sessions the next day, using the same scripts, cues and adaptations tested in Filiates -Organisations adopt common checklists and routines so quality and safety are consistent across teams and venues -Young people experience more engaging, healthier and safer activities that fit their realities, especially those with fewer opportunities -The toolkit and action plans enable transfer beyond the initial group, with colleagues and volunteers trained quickly using the same materials By focusing on practical methods, safe facilitation, inclusion by design and simple tools that fit real constraints, the project delivers immediate improvements in youth work practice and sets up lasting change inside the three organisations.
