Objectives

By implementing this project, we aim to significantly enhance the quality, effectiveness, and innovation of youth work practice, focusing on supporting young people with diverse educational and personal needs, particularly neurodiverse individuals. From the perspective of youth work, our primary goal is for youth workers to acquire skills and tools that allow them to create safe, supportive, and empowering learning environments in which every young person can reach their full potential, regardless of the personal or social challenges they may face. A key objective is the development of practices that strengthen individualized support, such as guidance through study buddies, focus groups, and experiential psychoeducational sessions, all rooted in the experience gained from the ADHD-UP program. Through these practices, youth workers will learn how to recognize and address the varying needs of young people, adapt learning methods, and create participatory frameworks that promote autonomy, self-confidence, and social inclusion. At the same time, the project aims to foster collaboration between youth work organizations and educational institutions, facilitating the exchange of best practices and the development of shared approaches that can be applied more broadly. Through this collaboration, youth workers will develop networking, coordination, and project management skills, while organizations will be empowered to implement innovative, high-quality programs of broader scope that meet the real needs of young people. Additionally, the project seeks to strengthen youth workers’ capacity to support participants with fewer opportunities, reducing inequalities in access to learning and development opportunities. Preparation and training of participants will include tools for recognizing and addressing barriers arising from social, economic, or geographic challenges, ensuring that youth work practices are genuinely inclusive and equitable. Furthermore, one of our core achievements will be fostering lifelong learning and professional development for the participants. Through reflective activities, group discussions, and online monitoring platforms, youth workers will develop the ability to continuously evaluate their own practice, identify areas for improvement, and integrate new knowledge and skills into their daily work. Finally, from the perspective of youth work practice, the project seeks to create a culture of knowledge and experience sharing, where organizations and youth workers become ambassadors of good practices and contribute to disseminating results at local, national, and European levels. In this way, the application of results is not limited to the project’s duration but generates a lasting impact on the quality of youth work and the lives of the young people being supported.
